Dzus turnlock fasteners are fairly similar to Camloc fasteners in their design, consisting of a stud, grommet, and a receptacle. The grommet acts as a holding device for the stud, and it will often be made from a material such as aluminum. With the use of a metallic spring, force can be exerted on the stud when assemblies are joined together, ensuring that it is locked and secured in place. Also similar to Camloc fasteners, Dzus fasteners are unlocked and locked with a turn, that of which can be done with the use of a screwdriver or a Dzus key.

Airloc fasteners are a bit different from the other two, featuring an assembly made up of a stud, cross pin, and stud receptacle. To ensure correct installation, one will need to determine the material thickness of parts that are to be secured so that the right stud length can be chosen. Studs may be procured with different head types, those of include are flush, oval, and wing options. It is important that the cross pin of the component is never re-used, as once it is removed from the stud, it will need to be replaced.
